A dual-bus 2N redundant power supply system is built for the data center in accordance with Tier IV standards, covering the full link of medium-voltage incoming lines, transformers, low-voltage distribution cabinets, UPS, precision column cabinets, and diesel generator sets, as well as supporting energy consumption management systems.

a.Challenge: The stability of the local mains power is poor and the harmonic pollution of the server load is serious, which can easily cause equipment downtime.
Solution: An active power filter is configured to accurately control harmonics, and the harmonic distortion rate is controlled within 3%; the dual-bus redundant architecture ensures zero impact from a single point of failure.
b.Challenge: The project is the renovation of existing computer rooms, and the construction cannot affect the operation of existing online services.
Solution: Adopting a modular hot-swappable design, staggered construction at night ensures zero business interruption throughout the process.
c.Challenge: The local area lacks experience in power distribution construction of high-level data centers, and the process standards are difficult to meet.
Solution: Senior data center power distribution engineers were dispatched to provide on-site guidance, fully control the construction process, and pass the Tier IV certification assessment in one go.
Project results
The power supply reliability reaches 99.999%, and the annual downtime is less than 5 minutes; the system PUE is reduced to 1.28, and the annual electricity bill of a thousand racks is saved by more than 1.5 million yuan.
