Hospital high-reliability power supply system project

Project overview

In accordance with Indonesian medical building power supply standards, a three-level redundant power supply system was built for core areas such as hospital operating rooms, ICUs, and imaging departments, equipped with medical IT isolation power supplies and harmonic control devices.

Indonesia fit

Help the hospital complete the selection of dual power supplies, UPS, diesel engines, IT isolated power supplies, harmonic control and after-sales support without interrupting diagnosis and treatment, and avoid unclear boundaries of responsibilities caused by scattered equipment procurement; the solution meets the differentiated requirements of Indonesian medical buildings for continuous power supply, grounding safety and acceptance data for core departments.

Professional configuration and standards

Power distribution in medical places refers to IEC 60364-7-710, IEC 61557-8 insulation monitoring, IEC 61439, IEC 62040 UPS and SNI/PUIL requirements. The operating room/ICU is equipped with medical IT isolated power supply, insulation monitoring, equipotential bonding and UPS backup; the system completes insulation monitoring alarm, grounding continuity, leakage protection, harmonic control, UPS Discharge and generator automatic switching test.

Delivery challenges and solutions

a.Challenge: The power supply cannot be cut off in the core diagnosis and treatment area, and the risk of existing renovation construction is extremely high.

Solution: Adopting a three-level redundant architecture of dual power supply + UPS + diesel generator, the work can be carried out without power outage during peak hours at night, ensuring the normal development of diagnosis and treatment throughout the entire process.

b.Challenge: Precision equipment such as CT and NMR are sensitive to power quality, and harmonic interference can easily lead to detection deviations.

Solution: The entire system is equipped with active power filters, and the harmonic distortion rate is controlled within 3%, ensuring accurate equipment detection data.

c.Challenge: Medical power distribution specifications are special and must comply with the safety standards of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

Solution: Operating rooms and ICUs are equipped with IT isolation power systems as standard, with an insulation monitoring accuracy of 1kΩ, fully meeting local medical safety requirements.

Project results

The power supply reliability in key areas reaches 99.999%, completely eliminating the risk of medical power outages; the service life of medical equipment is extended by 25%, and the average annual equipment update cost is reduced by 20%.
