Residential area power distribution system project

Project overview
Provide a full-link power distribution system from 10kV incoming lines to household meters for 1,200 residential communities, equipped with smart metering, overload protection and backup power supply in public areas.
Indonesia fit
It helps developers solve the procurement combination problems of 10/20kV access, transformer capacity, household meters, public loads and after-sales maintenance in residential areas at one time, avoiding inconsistent interfaces between different suppliers. The solution matches the 230V, 50Hz, Type C/F socket ecology and air-conditioning peak load commonly used in Indonesian households, taking into account property charges, fire protection, elevators and the humid working conditions of underground garages.
Professional configuration and standards
The low-voltage complete equipment is configured in accordance with IEC 61439, and the building power distribution is configured in accordance with IEC 60364 and SNI/PUIL requirements. The residential side adopts 1P+N/3P+N graded protection, 30mA leakage protection, and 0.5/1.0-level smart meters; the garage box adopts IP55 For the above protection and anti-condensation heating, the cables are made of flame-retardant and low-smoke materials, and insulation resistance, grounding resistance, loop impedance, leakage protection action and temperature rise tests are completed.
Key specification comparison table
| Configuration items | common practice | Optimized delivery specifications and value |
|---|---|---|
| Household capacity | Rough configuration based on experience | Calculated separately based on 10kW per household, air conditioning simultaneous factor and public load |
| garage protection | Ordinary indoor distribution box | IP55/IP65 moisture-proof box, anti-condensation, three-level leakage protection |
| metering charges | Manual meter reading leads to many bill disputes | AMI smart meter + household bill + online payment, adapted to property charges |
Delivery challenges and solutions
a.Challenge: Tropical climates have high utilization rates of air conditioners and concentrated peak loads, making transformers prone to overload tripping.
Solution: Capacity is accurately calculated based on 10kW per household + simultaneous coefficient, with a peak margin reserved to ensure zero overload power outage during peak seasons.
b.Challenge: Underground garages are humid all year round, and distribution boxes are prone to leakage and corrosion.
Solution: The underground garage adopts a moisture-proof and waterproof distribution box and is equipped with three-level leakage protection to eliminate potential safety hazards of electric shock.
c.Challenge: Local property operation and maintenance capabilities are weak and fault handling responses are slow.
Solution: Build a property remote monitoring platform, proactively alert on faults, and provide special training for property operation and maintenance personnel.
Project results
With zero tripping at peak times, the owner’s complaint rate has dropped significantly; with remote meter reading + online payment, the property collection rate has increased from 82% to 98%; backup power in public areas ensures the normal operation of elevators and firefighting power outages.
