Function and Application
The BP8Y series resistor is suitable for motor power (1.5~200) kW, with a maximum rotor voltage of 660 V and a frequency of 50 Hz for YZR series three-phase asynchronous motors used in lifting and metallurgical applications under frequent operation conditions. The resistor is directly connected to the rotor circuit of the asynchronous motor, without the need for additional contactors or other shorting devices, allowing the motor to achieve an almost constant torque mechanical characteristic.
